In a heartwarming display of compassion, Girl Scout Troop 1035, a multi-level troop from Service Unit 140, dedicated their time and creativity to crafting over 60 handmade Valentine’s Day cards. These tokens of affection weren’t destined for conventional recipients but were instead lovingly intended for the recipients of Meals on Wheels in Williamsburg.
Troop 1035’s initiative beautifully aligns with the spirit and mission of Girl Scouts, showcasing their commitment to making the world a better place through acts of kindness and service. Guided by the Girl Scout Law to “be considerate and caring” and to “help people at all times,” the troop exemplified these principles by spreading joy and warmth to those who may be spending Valentine’s Day alone. By pairing their cards with meal deliveries on February 14th, Troop 1035 extended the reach of Meals on Wheels’ mission, ensuring that vulnerable members of the community not only received essential nutrition but also felt remembered and cherished.
