Special Interest Clubs
Girl Scouts in 7th grade and up (second-year Cadettes and older) can join a club any time. Participation is flexible to accommodate the busy schedules of our older Girl Scouts. However, with new opportunities throughout the year, you’ll want to keep coming back for more! Participation in these clubs is included with Girl Scout membership. (Participants may be asked to pay for trip/program fees and supplies as needed.)
Reach out to CustomerCare@gsccc.org for more information, or browse our Event Calendar for upcoming meetings.
Are you a local company, organization, or individual who wants to support our clubs? Contact us for more information about sponsorships, program partnerships, and more!
If you find yourself gazing at the night sky in wonder, the Star Club is looking for new members. In the past, the Star Club has learned to use telescopes with the Back Bay Amateur Astronomers, taught Space Science badge workshops for younger Girl Scouts, and co-hosted a planetarium event at the Michael and Kimthanh Lê Planetarium at ODU.
If you are a Girl Scout in 7th grade or above, you can help us plan and experience the rest of the year. We meet virtually the second Tuesday of every month and in person for scheduled events. Most events are free or low cost!

Do you like cooking or wish to learn new recipes, love to share your favorite foods, or want to make new friends over a good meal? The Cooking Club is looking for new members. You might try baking s’mores inside a box, picking peanuts from a farmer’s field, or making ice cream! These are a few of the upcoming adventures the Cooking Club has planned.
If you are a Girl Scout in 7th grade or above, you can help us plan and experience the rest of the year. We meet virtually the Wednesday following the second Tuesday every month and once a month in person for scheduled events. Most events are free or low cost!

The award-winning Blazing Blue Herons focus on giving girls opportunities to develop skills in canoeing and offer fun activities that include competitive racing. Expect to learn water safety, endurance as a canoer, and how to be part of a team. They also get involved in water-based expeditions and environmental stewardship projects. The team practices weekly on Sundays during the fall and spring to prepare for race season in May and June.

The Colonial Coast Cavers are dedicated to spelunking! They take a bi-annual trek to the hills of West Virginia to explore the underground world through caving. The group also hosts an annual program in January at Camp Skimino called Cracks, Crevices and Crawlways; this indoor, simulated caving program introduces caving to Girl Scouts of all ages.
