We were honored to talk with GSUSA’s National Board President Noorain Khan. She holds the highest volunteer title in the organization. This National Gold Award Girl Scout alum credits her lifetime of interests in philanthropy with some of her earliest memories as a Girl Scout Brownie in Grand Rapids, Michigan.
Since 2023, Noorain has brought tremendous nonprofit and business leadership expertise to the national board. Aside from her impressive professional accolades in corporate law, she has served as a senior policy advisor on the National Economic Council at the White House and as chief of staff at the education nonprofit Teach for All. She is a member of the New York State Bar and has served on a variety of nonprofit boards. Noorain is the one for the job!
Say hello to Girl Scout Lifetime Member Kim Dodson. She is a long-time volunteer, Girl Scout parent, and former staff member across many councils. Kim currently serves as the director for United Way of South Hampton Roads Mission United program, and uses her skills to improve the lives of military families by offering the resources and support they need to thrive.
Say hello to 2025 GSUSA Gold Award Scholarship recipient Maureen. She's a rising sophomore at the University of Alabama with a long-standing history of service. From shy beginnings as a Girl Scout Daisy to developing a toolbox of leadership skills, she's ready for the next chapter of her journey.
Meet Girl Scout alum Tameika Serrano, the Program Director of Old Dominion University’s Mustard Seed Place Women’s Business Center who is also an Inside Business Top 40 Under 40 Honoree and serves in several volunteer roles, including as an ombudsman for her husband’s command, chair of the WHRO Emerging Leaders Board, and a mentor with ForKids, Inc.
