Special thanks to:

Named after Girl Scouts’ Founder, Juliette Gordon Low, whose nickname was Daisy, our SmartFlower uses advanced robotics and automation to track the sun, making up to 40% more energy than traditional stationary solar panels.
This installation is part of our Council’s promise to the environment, promoting initiatives that contribute to sustainability, efficient use of energy, and reduced electrical consumption.
Daisy was dedicated during a ceremony at her home, A Place for Girls, on October 2, 2023.
How Daisy Works:
After Daisy has been up and running, we’ll be sharing data here on her solar energy production, and how Girl Scouts and the community can utilize it for earning badges and doing other projects!
The educational materials are temporarily on hold, awaiting the Department of Energy grant. It is in process. Upon receipt of the funding, GSCCC will update this page with additional educational resources. Thank you for your patience as this is taking longer than anticipated.
