Girl Scout Trips and Travel
Every girl deserves a chance to see the world! Whether you’re exploring your own neighborhood, going on an overnight camping trip, or flying across the world—you’re always expanding your horizon with Girl Scouts. Travel with Girl Scouts from our council and across the United States. There’s an entire world out there waiting to be explored by you.
Travel fun can be endless when girls lead. Travel Progression allows Girl Scouts to learn the skills they need to become competent travelers, including how to plan trips, while simultaneously developing their leadership skills.
Check out the Trip Approval at a Glance before planning any trip and follow guidance in Safety Activity Checkpoints. Be sure to check the cancellation and refund policies for any travel and overnight stays as GSCCC does not provide financial assistance related to trip cancellations and reimbursements.
Volunteers are required to complete gsLearn Travel Training. Access modules in your myGS Account – gsLearn. Search under Content Library and then Content Type: Learning Paths.
The main feature of the Girl Scout Leadership Experience is that it’s girl-led. That means that girls should have a say in everything they do, whether that’s picking which badge to earn or planning a troop trip. Girls start at a baseline and practice the skills they need to get to the next level. As girls progress towards higher levels of complexity and difficulty, they’ll also take on more and more responsibilities.
