Throughout her time on GSCCC’s Board, she has encouraged our Girl Scouts to showcase their achievements in mission moments at every opportunity, including championing expansion of STEM experience badges and the new STEM resources center at Camp Skimino. She has also been active in advocacy and has traveled to Richmond as part of the delegation to the State Capitol for several years and has served as a National Council Delegate. She is a lifetime member of Girl Scouts and a member of the Juliette Gordon Low Planned Giving Society.
Carolyn also serves on several other nonprofit boards. She has served for ten years on the Virginia Symphony Orchestra Board and as their Board Treasurer for seven years. She serves as a board member with Soundscapes, a non-profit youth development organization that teaches life skills through music, and as an honor society member at Peake Childhood Center, a private, non-profit, early childhood education center serving 200 children (ages 6 weeks to 5 years) from all backgrounds, incomes, and abilities.
