Terri Washington, Vice President of Member Engagement for Girl Scouts of the Colonial Coast, was named into the Girl Scout Staff Association’s Hall of Fame on July 23 at a national event held in Washington D.C. She was among four inductees. The GSSA Hall of Fame was established to recognize individuals whose dedication and achievements have significantly furthered the vision and goals of the Girl Scout Staff Association. The 2026 honorees exemplify the collaboration, innovation, mentorship, and servant leadership that define the very best of Girl Scout professionals.
Terri Washington was recognized for her devoted time as a professional Girl Scout, more than two decades of empowering girls, volunteers, and staff through exceptional leadership and member engagement. She began her journey with Girl Scouts as a girl in the Movement and became an adult volunteer for several years before taking a staff position in the late 1990s. A graduate of Hampton University, she currently oversees recruitment, volunteer support, and program delivery while fostering innovation and excellence throughout GSCCC, a council serving southeastern Virginia and northeastern North Carolina. A gifted trainer and former Sandler Trainer within Girl Scouts, Terri has invested in the growth of Girl Scout professionals nationwide through her training talents.
