Congratulations to Girl Scout Cadette Kaydence R. who was selected from a national pool of applicants to serve on the National Girl Scout Advisory Board to the Girl Scouts of the USA! The National Girl Scout Advisory Board is a group of middle and high school Girl Scouts who make recommendations, contribute to key initiatives, and influence decision-making processes at our national office. Advisory board members develop leadership skills, collaborate with decision-makers at GSUSA, and grow skills to prepare for college and future leadership opportunities.
Kaydence joined the Movement as a Girl Scout Daisy and has been totally engaged ever since. She has earned Girl Scout Summit Awards for each of her Girl Scout grade levels and has earned the Girl Scout Bronze Award, the highest award earned by a Girl Scout Junior. The Girl Scout Silver Award is now on her radar.
While taking action as a Girl Scout, she has partnered to help with projects that have benefited several community groups that include: ForKids; the Peace Corps; Wreaths Across America; Chesapeake Animal Services; Oceana Stables; Autumn Care Rehabilitation Center; the City of Chesapeake; Saint Paul’s Church; and other organizations. She also joined troop mates in volunteering to help at the NATO Festival and Parade. They designed, created and then hosted a parade float for the country of North Macedonia in this year’s festivities.
