We at GSCCC would like to say a huge “thank you” to the Girl Scouts in Troop 1014 for their $200.00 donation to the Virginia Enmeier Program Center fundraising campaign. The girls had a great time at their first Service Unit encampment last June at Camp Skimino and are looking forward to going back. So much so, that when they heard about the urgent repairs that the center needed, they unanimously voted to make a donation from their cookie profits to help. These Girl Scouts took action to ensure that all girls in our council have the opportunity to enjoy the camp as much as they did!
Each cookie season, troop leaders work with the girls in their troop to set cookie-selling goals, and then decide how to allocate their funds toward fun activities and projects that benefit their community. These girls are leading the way for other troops to consider making a donation from their cookie profits to benefit the Virginia Enmeier Program Center at Camp Skimino. Thank you, Troop 1014, for making the world a better place!
