Explore the fascinating science behind music as you discover how sound is created, transmitted, and interpreted by the human body. Investigate the physics of sound: how vibrations create sound waves, how pitch and volume are affected, and how sound travels through different materials. Enjoy time with the ""Musical Instrument Petting Zoo"" where you can see, hold, and play a variety of orchestral and band instruments while learning how each instrument produces sound. Bonus: You will also learn the basics of playing the recorder!
Drop-off event: This event is for Girl Scout youth members only and event hosts will provide proper adult ratios. Adults are welcome to stay on-site.
You will receive a reminder email with final details during the week prior to this event. If you do not receive anything by the Wednesday before this event, please reach out to CustomerCare@gsccc.org.
