Visit the HRBT Expansion Project Welcome Center to learn about the STEM concepts and innovation that are making the 10-mile Hampton Roads Bridge-Tunnel interstate expansion possible. Check out models of the cutting-edge technology used to build the tunnel, fossils discovered during mining, historic artifacts and more up close.
Experts will guide you through an interactive presentation on the engineering, environmental management, planning and careers involved in the $3.9 billion transportation transformation, ending with a trivia game to test your new knowledge.
All Girl Scouts will receive the STEM Career Exploration badge for their level, plus HRBT swag like activity books and stickers!
Drop-off event: This event is for Girl Scout youth members only and event hosts will provide proper adult ratios. Adults are welcome to stay on-site.
