Just across the James River from historic Jamestown, Chippokes is one of the oldest continually farmed plantations in the country. Join us at the morning session for messages from the Miocene, a fossil excursion on the banks of the James River complete with short classroom segment on fossils. The afternoon session includes a hike down Chipoax Trace Trail with forest ecology and tree identification. Come for one or stay for both!
