PORTSMOUTH — A local nonprofit and church are partnering to give those who are homeless a proper Thanksgiving meal and are seeking donations from the public to aid those efforts.
10 On Your Side spoke with a few of the helping hands from Troop 137 on what being a part of this event means to them, and what they felt was important.
“I’m happy to spread the kindness of making these bags and giving them to the homeless to help out,” Savannah D. said.
Another troop member, Alura W., said “they’re loved, that we’re spreading our kindness to them, so they feel like they’re part of the world.”
“I’m just happy that I get to be here with all my Girl Scout friends and we’re helping everybody who doesn’t have a home or family,” said Kaylee R.
