Learn how to save a life this summer. American Red Cross Lifeguard Training is available to all volunteers and Girl Scouts age 17+. Lifeguard candidates must be able to swim a distance of 200 meters, tread water for two minutes without using hands, and dive to a depth of 10 feet. Lifeguard certification, which is national, stays current for two years and may be used to lifeguard at pools. Candidates must attend a required pre-requisite swim test on May 17 at 12:00 p.m., and complete an online portion for the class.
