Did you know you can recycle food waste? Composting is one of the best and easiest ways to help protect the environment! At this program, Girl Scouts will learn from program partner Tidewater Compost how to identify compost, recyclables, and trash; make their own recycling bucket to take home; and plant a seedling in finished compost.

Not a drop-off event for D/B/J: We will be using a power drill to put hole in our compost buckets, which will require adult supervision from a caregiver or troop leaders providing proper ratio. C/S/A level Girl Scouts may have an adult stay to assist, but it is not required.

You will receive a reminder email with final details at least one week prior to this event. If you do not receive anything by the Wednesday before this event, please reach out to CustomerCare@gsccc.org.

Location: A Place for Girls, Chespeake, VA
