How to create a nonprofit fundraiser:
1. On your computer, login to Facebook.
2. On the left, click Fundraisers.
Tip: If you don't see Fundraisers on the left, then click See more at the bottom.
A Guide to Girl Scout Birthday Fundraisers
It’s easy to support Girl Scouts through Facebook
We thank all our members and friends who have taken the step to create a fundraiser for GSCCC on Facebook! We appreciate your support. When your birthday rolls around, consider a Birthday Fundraiser to support GSCCC. You'll be making a difference in the lives of so many girls in just 8 easy steps!
3. On the left, click Raise money.
4. On the next screen, click Nonprofit.
5. You can either:
- Scroll to find the nonprofit you want to raise money for (it may suggest “Girl Scout Council of Colonial Coast” to you!)
- Type into the search bar to find the nonprofit you want to raise money for: “Girl Scout Council of Colonial Coast”
6. Select the nonprofit.
7. On the left, enter:
- The goal amount of money you want to raise, and
- The currency you want the funds to be in.
- There are other options you can customize as you scroll down; for example, you can edit the pre-written text from Facebook to tailor the message it will display, or choose a different photo.
8. Click Create.
That’s it! You’ve now created a fundraiser that will support Girl Scouts of the Colonial Coast.
Whether your goal is $50 or $500, you’re helping to give local girls the tools they need to embrace their unique skills as leaders! Remember to share your post and thank your friends for their support of an organization dear to you. Girl Scouts of the Colonial Coast will be able to see that you’ve created a fundraiser on our behalf and all funds come directly from Facebook to us!
