Humans have always passed stories down through the generations and oral history is rooted in this tradition. It allows us to use the power of language and writing to record the stories of people who lived before us. And in doing so, we not only preserve history, but learn more about others, ourselves, and what shapes the present.
Join passionate communicators from the reGenerations project (https://www.our-regenerations.org) to learn how to interview an older person in your life and turn that interview into a narrative. Two virtual workshops, one before the interview and one after, will help you to hone your communication skills and learn from the wisdom of older generations.
Registration is free and completing this project will earn you the 2025 Spread Kindness patch! Learn more at https://www.gsccc.org/kindness Session 1 takes place on October 5; you will have until December to complete your interview. Session 2 will take place on December 7. All registrants for Session 1 will automatically be registered for Session 2 and you must attend both sessions. You will receive a Zoom link to each workshop via email the week before the program.
Registration Deadline: September 24
