Girl Scouts of the Colonial Coast is over the moon about a new STEM (science, technology, engineering, and math) partnership with Maxar Better World Foundation. Their $10,000 investment in Girl Scouts’ STEM programs will advance girls’ knowledge and understanding of STEM. The grant also supports volunteer engagement which provides an important connection for girls to visualize their potential future in the professional community.
“Girl Scouts of the Colonial Coast is so excited to share our STEM focus with more girls in southeastern Virginia and northeastern North Carolina,” shared Tracy Keller, CEO of Girl Scouts of the Colonial Coast. “Girl Scouts advance STEM through hands-on activities like building robots, designing apps and video games, and collecting data to help scientists protect the environment. Today and always, Girl Scouts is committed to ensuring that all girls develop to their full potential and have equal access to and support in STEM education.”
