Join Us on National S’mores Day and Have S’more Fun!

Saturday, August 10 is National S’mores Day and we are celebrating at A Place for Girls in Chesapeake with a fun, free event from 10 a.m. to noon for girls and their families to discover first-hand what Girl Scouting is all about.

(This is a free “Discover Girl Scouts” event to connect with new families, but our current members are invited when they bring a friend and introduce them to the wonderful world of Girl Scouting!)

Make s’mores trail mix, see a s’more prepared in a solar oven, create some unique crafts, go on a scavenger hunt in The Outback nature area, receive a S’mores fun patch, and more — plus a chance to win a FREE large pizza from Papa John’s!

We will also be collecting school supplies for WAVY-TV’s Operation School Supplies drive; everyone who brings in donations will be entered to win a case of Girl Scout Cookies!

(Event is on, rain or shine!)
