Gold Award Girl Scout Named Youth Volunteer of the Year

Congratulations to Gold Award Girl Scout Julia Williams for being selected by Volunteer Hampton Roads as Youth Volunteer of the Year. She will be formally recognized with all the other honorees at a special ceremony on April 24, 2025 at the Rivers Casino in Portsmouth. Her Gold Award project, Nurture Your Mind with Nature, benefited the Elizabeth River Project. Julia worked to clean up Paradise Nature Creek Park, renovated existing equipment, and added ten exciting sensory stations that encourage kids to explore the great outdoors.
