Learn how to set up and take down the climbing wall at Camp Darden, as well as some knot-tying and belaying skills. Once you have completed this training, you and one other instructor will be able to host your troop or groups at the climbing wall. Thick gloves to help with friction while belaying are recommended. A 30-minute lunch break is included in the schedule with access to a fridge and microwave.
The Climbing Faciltator certification will be renewed if the volunteer is active on the wall at least eight hours during the membership year (October 1 - September 30). All instructors must complete and submit instructor records by September 1st yearly.
