Enmeier Program Center

Igniting a lifelong love of the outdoors is at the core of Girl Scouting—and every Girl Scout deserves the opportunity to challenge herself as she explores her world. That exploration includes time at Girl Scout camp! Here at Girl Scouts of the Colonial Coast, girls can enjoy camp through troop camping and summer camp at various Council properties. Among them, and a favorite for many, is Camp Skimino. At the heart of the camp is the Virginia Enmeier Program Center that serves as the camp’s dining hall and a facility for both small and large group activities, including overnight accommodations! The center is also the camp’s emergency shelter for inclement weather, which has increased in frequency and severity over the past few years.
This year, hidden damage compromising the Virginia Enmeier Program Center at Camp Skimino was discovered during maintenance care. Immediate repairs restored the structural integrity, but now other areas of the compromised section need repair. The estimated repair cost is over $300,000. With Summer Camp 2023 beginning in June, we need your help to restore the building as quickly as possible. Contractors are in place, and we need your pledge of support today!

Going to Camp Skimino, a 90 plus acre camp located in Williamsburg, Virginia, is a year-round destination and magical experience for so many. With wooded grounds, high and low ropes courses, a swimming pool, archery range and so much more, it offers Girl Scouts a place to explore and discover the outdoors in unique ways. Camp just wouldn’t be the same without the Virginia Enmeier Program Center welcoming girls! Please consider making a contribution. 100% of the proceeds from our Camp is Calling Virtual Auction and other fundraising efforts will benefit this need directly.
