Welcome to the official GSCCC podcast, “Make the World a Better Place” — new episodes will be posted here as well as on our YouTube channel, so be sure to subscribe!
The Gold Award is the highest award in Girl Scouting. To earn this unique award, Girl Scout Seniors and Ambassadors (girls in grades 9-12) tackle issues dear to them and drive lasting change in their communities and beyond. In each episode of our podcast, we will meet a changemaker who has earned this award or one of the adult volunteers who help make this monumental feat achievable through their support and mentorship.
Meet Dr. Wendy Scott, a lifetime Girl Scout and Gold Award recipient, who uses her talents as a STEM professional to help Girl Scouts explore their unique skills and make the world a better place! (You can also read more about her on our blog.)
Meet the Director of Sail Nauticus, Sarah Linden-Brooks. Sarah is a Girl Scout alum and GSCCC board member who has a passion for building leadership skills in girls through her profession as well as volunteering. (You can also read more about her on our blog.)
Meet Sarah Buck, a GSCCC Girl Scout alum who remains connected to the Mission as an involved volunteer. Listen as Sarah draws a connection between the skills she learned while earning the Girl Scout Gold Award 25 years ago and her career today as a leader in the national telecommunications industry. (You can also read more about her on our blog.)
Meet Linda Linke, a lifelong Girl Scout with over 40 years of experience as an adult volunteer. Her story began as a Girl Scout Brownie in Bergen County, New Jersey. Listen as she recounts her journey to helping Girl Scouts make the world a better place. (You can also read more about her on our blog.)
