Program Activities

Girl Scout Leadership Experience activities and events abound in the Girl Scout Council of Colonial Coast. There's something for every girl, everywhere! For example, Daisy Girl Scouts can complete activities for the petal, Use Your Resources Wisely, at an event at First Landing State Park. Brownies can learn to prepare a healthy and delicious meal and serve it to their family members at a lunch they put together. Junior Girl Scouts have the opportunity to discover the art of Claymation or attend a NASA workshop. Cadettes and Seniors can compete against other teens in the Outdoor Skills competition at Burkes Mill Pond.  Girls can venture into the outdoors and visit the wetlands in The Outback at , or investigate environmental science at one of our camps. There are even opportunities for them to earn Girl Scout awards and enrich their Girl Scout experience through participating in workshops offered by one of our many community partners - over 50 community partners with expertise in fields that range from science to the arts. Just imagine the possibilities in Girl Scouts!

Saturday Samplers

Activities to Go have been so popular that the session designs (lesson plans) with supply lists will be available here soon.  This is a great opportunity to get a troop parent involved at one of three levels:  1) You may choose to give them the session design to shop for the supply list; 2) shop for the items and prepare them for the meeting; or 3) Invite them to assume responsibility for the entire project, shopping, preparing and facilitating.  If you have any questions feel free to contact us any time.  donna@gsccc.org or (757) 547-4405, ext. 264.

Custom Activities - We can customize an activity for your troop or service unit, with a minimum of 10 girls, to be held at or on Saturday Sampler Days.  We make all of the arrangements and together we can work out the details.  Contact Donna Farnham, Program Specialist by email or call (757) 547-4405, ext. 264.
