We want to know what you think!
Girl Scouts Ages 14-17 are invited to apply to be a member of
Council Girl Advisory Board.
What activities would you like to see offered throughout the year? What would be really cool at
the "Outdoor
Skills Competition"
in April? What trips would you like
to take?
The Council Girl Advisory Board is a
group of girls, ages 14-17 selected
by their service units to help plan
and carry out service unit and
council events for other girl
members. Two Girl Advisory Board
members from each service unit will
meet, at the Council level, once a
month from October to June. The
first meeting will be a casual
opportunity for members to get to
know each other, share ideas and
establish the Girl Advisory Board
name and group community standards.
Officers will be elected and a plan
of work will be set during the
November meeting. Meetings will
alternate between North Carolina
and the Southside and Peninsula of
Virginia.
Two girls from the Council level
board will be selected, by their
peers, to attend meetings at the
state level.
Service Unit Girl Advisory Boards
will be developed and run at the
Service Unit level. Volunteer
Field Administrators can contact
Kaylen
Hopkins, Program Specialist
for suggestions or assistance.
If you are interested in becoming a
part of this group, please contact
your program and training Volunteer
Field Administrator or
Kaylen Hopkins, Program Specialist.
Each girl will need to fill out an
application
which includes information from one reference (non-family) member.

arts in the city, see the Grand
Tetons, or Paris! It's up to you!
Whatever your
destination, you'll

Each year, Cadette and Senior Girl

the opportunity to apply for travel
adventures - DESTINATIONS. These one

be very tough, so the earlier you
