Girl Scouts is the premier leadership organization for girls, so it should come as no surprise that the annual Girl Scout Cookie Program is the largest girl-led business in the country! This program has become an American tradition and generates immeasurable benefits for girls. While it helps to support troop and Council activities and programs, as well as services to adult members, it also offers girls an opportunity to build important skills. These important skills are key ingredients to leadership: goal setting; decision making; money management; people skills and business ethics. All of the proceeds from the cookie activities stay in our Council to support the delivery of Girl Scouting, including the portion that goes directly to the troop/group selling the cookies.
