Parents Ask:
"I would love to have my daughter be a Girl Scout, but we are so busy with so many things.
Why is it worth our time?"
These are questions often asked by parents. We know it's not easy to choose activities
that will fit into busy family schedules, and it's not easy to choose a program that will
meet the individual needs of your daughter. Let us reassure you, Girl Scouts have been
making a difference in the lives of girls and offering programs designed to meet
individual girls' needs for over 90 years. Girl Scouts not only makes a difference in
the lives of girls it touches, but a positive difference in the lives of adults as well.
Many parents and guardians say that Girl Scouting helps them:
- Build friendships with other adults
- Give back to their community
- Spend more time with their daughters
- Improve their relationships with their daughters
It's especially rewarding to know, that at a time in society when so many parents are seeking
ways to connect more closely with their daughters, that Girl Scouting can make it happen.
Whether you volunteer as a troop leader or assistant leader, or help as a troop committee
member, you will be part of a very special experience in your daughter's life.
