Internships
Girl Scout Council of Colonial

internships for college students to
receive course credit, meet degree
requirements, service learning
credit, and/or serve as excellent
resume enhancing experiences.
Girl Scouting builds girls of

Internships are
open to students who have an
expressed interest in the fields of
fundraising, marketing,
communications, public relations,
human resources, recreation
management, and youth leadership.
We offer flexible schedules and can
customize your internship
opportunity to meet you education or
experience goals.
Adult Education/Training
Develop training curriculum for a wide range of adult learning topics. Research effective delivery platforms including classroom and on-line systems.
Communications/Public Relations/Marketing/Journalism
Help strengthen Girl Scout Council of Colonial Coast’s visibility through media relations, feature story development and media and marketing plans. Great opportunity to gain writing samples, media experience and portfolio materials.
Fund Development/Event Planning
Gain skills in grant writing, community fundraising, large and small scale event planning and strategic planning. Excellent networking opportunities within the fundraising community.
Human Resources
Gain experience in all areas of human resources from orientation to termination. Strengthen policies and procedures, develop training programs and coordinate benefits.
Information Technology
Get hands-on technology experience. Conduct technology needs assessments,
provide PC support and/or work on the web.
Museum & Library Science
Catalogue, organize and preserve historical Girl Scout artifacts dating back to 1912, when Girl Scouting was formed in American. This is a great opportunity for education, library or museum majors as well as cataloguing experience.
Recreation Management/Youth Leadership
Choose from a variety of programs and activities from resident camps, outdoor programming, youth development and youth leadership. Develop program curriculum and gain experience working with girls ages 5 - 17.

Volunteer Opportunities
In addition to working directly with girls at the troop or neighborhood service team level, there is a wide range of other volunteer opportunities that exist. From data entry to shop sales to coordinating a fundraising event, Girl Scouts needs your help to create the future leaders of tomorrow. No matter what your experience, your age, or the amount of time you can give, we can use your help. If you are interested in volunteering, please contact hr@gsccc.org.
