Schedule of Events

8 - 8:45 a.m. Registration - Come early, check out the newest merchandise from the Council shop and stop by our community information booths. Fall Product packets will be available for
pick-up
.

9 - 9:45 a.m. Welcome and Keynote Speaker – An introduction by our CEO Tracy Keller and an overview of the Girl Scout Leadership Experience directly from a member of the GSUSA program development team. Get the latest news from GSUSA and a look at where we are and where we are going as a movement.

10 - 11:45 a.m. Discover the Journeys – An in-depth look at the new journey books and guides. Please indicate the grade-level you would like to explore on your registration form. Also, if you are pre-ordering journey books or planning to purchase them at the Kick-Off, bring the adult guide and grade-level book with you for this class. (See the attached form to pre-order the journey books – you’ll have an option to pick the books up at the Fall Kick-Off.)

12 - 12:45 p.m. Lunch – Bring your own or reserve a box lunch for $7. Drinks and snacks will be provided. The shop, Fall Product packets and community information booths will be available through lunch. Show us how you would like Leader News and LST Agenda to look - you’ll have a chance to help re-design your news resources!

1 - 2:45 p.m. Continuing the Excellence – Continue the journey and see how our existing Girl Scout resources work together with the new Girl Scout Leadership Experience. This session will be the same for everyone attending.

3 - 5 p.m. Leadership Essentials* – The first look at a new class provided by GSUSA for all new volunteers.

Even if you have done all of your new leader training under the previous system, we are asking all

volunteers to attend this class to learn about the Girl Scout Leadership Experience.

Volunteer Support Team Classes – If you are new to a volunteer support team position, this is a great opportunity to attend the class you need to get started. Choose from Membership (Recruiter/ Organizer), Fund Development and Visibility, Program and Volunteer Services or Coaching.

Attendance is free! Refreshments will be provided.

You may choose an optional box lunch for a cost of $7.
