Community Learning Events coming soon to your area!

Plan to attend one of these learning events for new volunteer training and lots of great information about your community and Girl Scouts. Each event is a volunteer enrichment opportunity to welcome volunteers, network, share resources and have fun! There’s an opportunity to attend Girl Scout Program Basics at each one! This is a required class for new troop volunteers.

Community 4 – Learn, Laugh, Lead!

Workshops include Girl Scout Program Basics, Proficiency Badges and Journeys, Event Planning, Family Partnership, Games and Songs, Techbridge, Risk Management and much more!

Community 2 – Spice Up Your Skills Fall Volunteer Development Day

Thalia United Methodist Church, Virginia Beach
Saturday, October 18, 2014, 10 a.m. – 3 p.m.

Workshops include Girl Scout Program Basics, Risk Management, Tips for Trips, PB&J (Proficiency Badges and Journeys), First Aid/CPR/AED, Managing Troop Finances and Compass Skills.

Volunteer Open House

A Place for Girls 912 Cedar Rd., Chesapeake
Sunday, November 16, 2014, 1:30 – 3:30 p.m.

Tour A Place for Girls, The Lodge and the Outback. Learn about camp, properties and programs. Meet Staff. Network with other volunteers. Visit the Girl Scout Shop - 10% off for Open House!
