Sharing our Joy in our Girl Scout Heritage & Future

Founded by Juliette Gordon Low in 1912, Girl Scouts will be celebrating 100 years as a unique organization for girls. Starting in the fall of 2011, there will be events and activities to celebrate this memorable time in Girl Scout history. Check back frequently for updates!

 World Association of Girl Guides and Girl Scouts are having a Girls World Forum in Chicago, Illinois on July 12-15, 2012

Look for National Anniversary Initiatives

GSUSA is creating a Google Map resource on girlscouts.org so anyone can see what is happening across the country for the 100th.

"It's a Girl" is a promotion for baby girls born on March 12, 2012.  They will be given a voucher for lifetime membership in honorary Troop 2012.

 The U. S. Mint is creating a commemorative coin in 2013.

 National publicity in January 2012 to kick off The Year of the Girl.
